During our stay at the peaceful Dwarasamudra Resort in Belur, we planned to visit a few nearby attractions. Instead of covering too many places, we chose to visit the famous Manjarabad Fort in Sakleshpura for a short trip.

The drive to the fort was scenic, with lush greenery and cool breeze all along the way. As we reached the fort, it started to drizzle continuously. While the rain added a magical and misty charm to the surroundings, we couldn’t spend much time exploring due to the wet weather.

We quickly made our way up the steps to take a look at the fort. You’ll need to climb a few steps to reach the top of the fort, and it’s about a 15-minute walk from the parking area. Even with limited time, we managed to click a couple of nice photos before heading back to our resort.

One thing to note — parking here is a bit tricky, especially on weekends, as the area can get crowded with visitors. So it’s better to come early if you’re planning to visit on a weekend.

🏞️ Manjarabad Fort Travel Info:

  • Best Time to Visit: August to February (especially post-monsoon when the surroundings are green and pleasant)
  • Timings: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (open all days)
  • Entry Fee: Free

Even though our visit was short, the charm of the fort and the lovely weather made it a memorable experience. If you’re around Sakleshpura, Manjarabad Fort is worth a quick stop!

We made a quick stop on the way for a short photo session before reaching the resort. 😊
