After visiting the beautiful Doddagaddavalli Temple on our way, we finally reached our vacation spot – Dwarasamudra Resort, located near Belur.
I had come across this resort many times on social media and always wanted to visit. This time, we finally got the chance, and it was worth the wait! The resort offers different types of stays – from regular rooms to spacious villas. We chose to stay in one of the villas, which gave us more privacy and comfort.

The moment you enter the property, you get a warm and homely feeling. The entire place is designed with a heritage look, filled with ancient furniture and traditional décor, which makes you feel like you’re staying in a beautiful ancestral home. The resort is located far from the busy city, making it perfect for a peaceful getaway.

We stayed here for two days. One full day, we just stayed inside the resort, relaxing and spending time with the kids. The resort has enough open space to walk, play, and unwind. During our morning walk, we spotted a few birds too. The staff told us that usually more birds can be seen, but due to continuous rain, the bird activity was low during our stay.
Tickell’s Blue Flycatcher is a small, bright blue bird often seen flitting through forest edges and wooded trails.

The woodpecker is a striking bird known for pecking tree trunks in search of insects and making rhythmic tapping sounds in the forest.

The Yellow-billed Babbler is a noisy, sociable bird often seen in small groups, chattering as they hop through bushes and trees.

🌿 What We Loved:
- Peaceful and quiet surroundings
- Traditional and homely atmosphere
- Spacious villas with good amenities
- A great place to relax with family and friends

If you’re planning a short trip to Belur or looking for a peaceful stay in the middle of nature, Dwarasamudra Resort is a great choice. It’s perfect for those who want to disconnect from the noise and enjoy some calm time with loved ones.
