After an enriching experience in Kashi and a long train journey, we arrived in Ujjain with hearts full of devotion. Our first stop was the Mahakaleshwara Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva. The darshana here was quick yet peaceful, filling us with a sense of serenity and gratitude.

With some time on our hands, we decided to visit the Omkareshwara Temple, another revered Jyotirlinga located about 150 kilometers from Ujjain. We hired a cab for the journey, embarking on a scenic four-hour drive through the heart of Madhya Pradesh.

We reached Omkareshwara around 5:00 PM, just in time to witness the temple’s evening grandeur. The temple, situated on an island in the sacred Narmada River, is a breathtaking sight. The ambiance was filled with devotion, and we felt fortunate to have darshana on the same day. The divine atmosphere of the temple left an indelible mark on our souls.

After the darshana, we spent some peaceful time exploring the surroundings of the temple. The serene beauty of the area, combined with the spiritual energy, made the experience truly special. Later, we returned to our room for a restful night.

The next morning, before leaving Omkareshwara, we visited the temple area again and took a calming boat ride on the Narmada River. The gentle flow of the river and the sight of the temple from the water offered a unique perspective, bringing our spiritual journey to a perfect conclusion.

Our trip to Omkareshwara Temple, combined with the earlier adventures in Kashi and Ujjain, was a testament to the profound spiritual and cultural richness of India. This journey will remain etched in our hearts forever.

With hearts full of memories and a deep sense of fulfillment, it was time to end our 15-day journey. We took a flight back to Bengaluru from Indore and reached home around 9:00 PM, cherishing the divine experiences and the beauty of the places we had visited.
