It was much awaited ride for me. It took me almost 3 years to go for a ride on my new Royal Enfield due to one or the other reason.
This ride was planned by Seena & Sriram, I joined them at last minute. Due to some emergency Seena dropped out of ride last minute. Sriram and me continued our ride.
Plan was to ride to Thirthahalli via Hassan. Though it is couple of more kilometers extra ride compared to google suggested route, we opted for this route. Road condition is very good through out the stretch. Started early morning from Bengaluru, met Sriram at DG Petrol bank and from there we joined NH-4 near gorguntepalya.
Our first stop was near Kunigal – Swathi Delicacy for a quick Coffee break, since weather was still cool we decided to wrap the break quickly and stop for breakfast in Hassan.
Stopped at Hassan HVR Hotel (More famous as Doddi Road Dose Hotel😀), had yummy Masala Dose, Benne Bose & crispy Vade.
After having delicious breakfast we started towards our destination, because of heat had multiple stops and relaxed for a while. Road condition was too good. Especially from Balehonnuru to Thirthahalli 😊 it was memorable ride.
Finally around 2.00PM reached Vihangama Holiday Retreat Resort near Thirthahalli (5 Kms form the town).
After having a bit long ride, we didn’t had much for rest of the day. Had our lunch and relaxed in the resort. Its quite good place to relax, out of all crowded place. Best part is birds sound next to your window 😊
Walked near the river and spent some time in clicking pics and watching birds.

Spent a relaxing evening around the resort, plan for the next day was to visit Kawaledurga.
Things to remember:
- Best time to visit is post monsoon
- Need more than a week to cover the major places around Thirthahalli
- Lot of options available around Thirthahalli both for relaxation and adventure activities
