Sunday morning, we started early from Goa and began our drive back to Bengaluru.
On the way, we stopped near Panaji for a quick breakfast at Kamat Hotel. After a refreshing break, we continued our journey towards home.
But before reaching Bengaluru, we had one more important stop to make!
A trip to Goa is always special, but sometimes the journey back home comes with its own little surprises. And for food lovers, a stop at Davanagere for its famous Benne Dose is definitely worth looking forward to!
Davanagere, a city in central Karnataka, is widely known as the home of the iconic Davanagere Benne Dose. This crispy, golden dosa is prepared with generous amounts of butter (benne), giving it a rich flavour and a soft, delicious texture inside. Usually served with spicy chutney and potato palya, it’s a must-try Karnataka delicacy! 😋
By lunchtime, we reached the Davanagere stretch and decided to stop for the city’s famous Benne Dose.
The crispy dosa, loaded with butter and served with chutney, was the perfect treat after a long drive. Sometimes, it’s these simple food stops that make road trips even more memorable!

After a satisfying lunch, we continued our journey and finally reached Bengaluru around 9:30 PM.
What started as a Goa road trip with old friends turned into a wonderful collection of memories – beautiful beaches, peaceful sunsets, good food, endless conversations, and of course, a delicious Davanagere Benne Dose!
