While returning from our trip to Lepakshi Temple, we first stopped near the beautiful Parshwanath Jain Temple. After spending some peaceful time there, we headed towards the historic Devanahalli Fort.

Devanahalli Fort is located around 40 km from Bengaluru, making it a good short weekend getaway or quick road trip destination. The walk around the fort is quite easy, and you can cover the place with a short 1 to 2 km walk inside and around the fort area. πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ

🌿 Our Experience

Honestly, the fort today feels like it has lost much of its old glory and pride. πŸ˜” It seems to be one of the historical monuments that has not received enough care or attention over the years. There is not much to explore inside, and many parts of the fort appear neglected.

We quickly walked from one end of the fort to the other, spent a little time looking around, clicked a few pictures πŸ“Έ, and then started our journey back to Bengaluru.

Even though the place may not offer many activities, it still gives a small glimpse into Karnataka’s rich history and reminds us of the importance of preserving our heritage. 🏰✨

πŸŒ… Closing Thoughts

Not every destination turns out to be extraordinary, but every journey leaves behind a memory. Devanahalli Fort may not be a grand trekking spot, yet it offers a quiet historical stop for anyone exploring around Bengaluru. Sometimes, the road trips, conversations, and small moments along the way become the best part of the journey. πŸš—πŸ’«
