If youβre looking for a calm and peaceful getaway near Bengaluru, Hesaraghatta Grasslands is a great choice. Located on the outskirts of the city, it takes about one hour to reach from most parts of Bengaluru. ππ¨
One lazy Sunday morning, with no big plans in mind, I decided to take a quick ride to this beautiful spot. I started early at 5:30 AM, and my brother Harshith joined me on the way. The early morning breeze π¬οΈ and empty roads made the ride even more enjoyable.
When we reached, we noticed that the place doesnβt have a proper entrance. π§ It seems the main entry was dug up, probably to avoid unwanted gatherings. Getting inside felt like a little adventure β bikes ποΈ can still make it through with some effort, but cars π might struggle. I didnβt see any cars inside during my visit.

The area is vast and open, covered with golden grass πΎ and surrounded by peaceful silence π€«. Itβs also known as a good spot for birdwatching π¦, though I was lucky to capture only one bird photo that day.
The Black Drongo is a sleek, glossy black bird known for its forked tail and fearless nature, often seen bravely chasing away larger birds to protect its territory.

Before heading out, we spent some time clicking photos πΈ and enjoying the cool weather. The sun βοΈ kept playing hide and seek behind the clouds βοΈ, so we missed the sunrise, but the cloudy sky gave a nice mood to the picture

After spending a quiet morning here, we rode to the Hesaraghatta Lake π, just a few kilometers away β another long-awaited place finally checked off the bucket list! β
